SITE BEING UPDATED - TESTING IN PROGRESS May 2009
The Village shop feels as though it has always been there and is a real meeting place for the village. It is lovely to hear the comments of visitors and those coming in for the first time who are impressed by the spacious feel and the range of stock held.
With over 5 months of trading behind us the volunteers are generally used to the vagaries of the till system and the other procedures. We are getting to grips with the various computer systems although there is still a lot to do to get them to work as they should.
Kirsty and Amanda are now sharing the Executive Manager's job on a temporary basis to get the shop running smoothly.
The children’s play equipment is now in use and has proved very popular. We have just bought some outside seating which is now assembled ad ready for use so everyone can enjoy sunshine
The Post Office is now open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 2.00 - 5.30 I know this is not what the Post Office web-site says - they have been told (several times)
Thanks to all our volunteers for smiling through the teething troubles and to our customers for putting up with the queues and delays.
